Yogesh and Raunaq’s wedding reception was in the same Charlotte Hilton University Place ballroom where their Indian wedding ceremony had taken place earlier. I came back to the ballroom after doing couple’s portrait session outside. I was able to capture decoration and lighting images before the reception started. DJ Rang provided the music and lighting for the reception. Katen Shah (Elegant Designz) provided the decorations. Vinny was the Dholi for this reception. Vinny had also played dhol for the baraat earlier. The couple was introduced and the first dance followed. There were speeches and cake. The couple went around the room to greet wedding guests. I followed them and captured those images. The reception was unique for the bride’s formal send off took place at the end of the reception! Indian bride’s vidaai (bidaai) is always very emotional. It was midnight- time for me to get some rest after photographing two beautiful Indian weddings over the weekend. Next up is Arti and Mitesh’s Engagement in Wilmington…
