I am catching up on my photo editing and blogging! For a change, I will be painting live this weekend at The Pavilions at the Angus Barn. I look forward to doing a watercolor painting of the Drake- Robinson wedding reception at the Pavillions (you can checkout my Wedding Painting portfolio at www.raleighweddingpainter.com ). Mica will be photographing a Bar Mitzvah at the North Hills Club this weekend. Next weekend, I will be photographing Tara and Matt’s Indian wedding ceremony at the Hindu Temple in Morrisville. Their reception will be at the Nasher Museum of Art. That makes my artist self happy!
Earlier, I had done a studio session for Tara and Matt. After waiting for the weather to cool down, we scheduled the Duke Gardens e-session past weekend. It was still hot! But, Tara and Matt did great! We wandered around the gardens looking for interesting places. The Gardens are very popular which makes composing some of the wide-angle shots a challenge. Fortunately, there are many good spots. So, we kept working. At times, we waited patiently for the background to clear (contrary to the popular belief, it is sometimes impossible to edit people out using Photoshop). I captured candid images and also created posed ones. I relied on available light for some of the images and used my portable lighting for the others. We kept on going till the light faded. We kept chatting about the wedding details. I look forward to photographing Tara and Matt’s wedding…
