Raleigh Rose Garden is one of my favorite places! Jean & Michael commissioned me for their portrait session at the garden, recently. I have done e-sessions there before. I have also done couple of paintings- a plein air watercolor, as well as a live event painting for the Big Garden Party to benefit the Raleigh Little Theater. This wasn’t an e-session as Jean and Michael are happily married. But, it was as romantic. It was hot and humid. But, we went around the garden capturing many candid images and creating posed ones. Sometimes you just can’t control the light outdoors. So, I went with the natural light for some of the images. And when the light faded, I was glad to set up some of the poses with my own lighting. But, that is all too technical. What I like about this session is the happy couple…
