The big finale of Pooja and Ram’s wedding! The reception party was at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Raleigh NC. There was a little break between the ceremony and reception. I used this time to get my gear ready for the party.

I started the evening by capturing images of the beautiful ballroom and decorations. Then I did a mini-session of the bride and groom. I enjoy these mini-sessions! Of course, you are always working on a schedule and there is pressure to work quickly. But, I enjoy that challenge. The food was vegan for this entire wedding: a refreshing change! I captured some candids during the mocktail hour. MC Vashishth and DJ Sohil of the DJ Hangama kept the party going as soon as the doors opened!

There were beautiful speeches and fun performances by family & friends. The couple’s family and friends had travelled from different parts of the world. The dance floor stayed busy all evening! And that is always a blessing for us photographers since we get many opportunities to capture fun images!

I enjoyed working with Pooja and Ram! Indian weddings can be long! Starting with couple’s e-session, I photographed five different events! And Mica also did a video of the bride’s pre-wedding ceremony. It really helps when you are able to build a rapport with the bride and groom. It is an honor to photograph a bride’s special day. And I take my humble job seriously.

And that brings me to my next assignment that was in Rock Hill, SC  (right outside of Charlotte, NC) just few days later: Bhumi and Viren’s wedding! Another fantastic couple! I look forward to processing and posting those images- I know Bhumi has been probably and patiently checking my blog and Facebook pages!

Ciao.
